One day, I made a giant snowman with my friends. It was a beautiful sunny day and all the kids were playing outside in the cold, crisp snow. After we finally finished making him, we did the things just like in the story. We got dark stones for his eyes and pieces of corn for his smile (I knew the birds would love that). I found a carrot for his nose and branches from a tree for his arms. We then found some pieces of coal for his buttons the front. We even made him a belly button to tickle. I think I even heard him giggle when we placed it on his body. My mom let me use a red plaid scarf to put around his neck. When we finally finished, we placed a large black hat on his head with a big brim. Everyone cheered! A small bird sat upon Frosty’s carrot nose and chirped a happy song. The bird was calling the other birds to come. I think it was the mommy bird on his nose because then another that looked like the daddy bird flew over to be with her. In a few minutes the baby birds came sat on Frosty’s hat. They all chirped and chirped. They were so happy to be with Frosty. He smiles and plays tag with the baby birds. They all giggle as the sun shines so brightly. The baby birds don’t see it at first but Frosty begins to move a tiny bit slower, he is feeling tired from playing so hard. But Frosty is so happy for the wonderful day and tells the baby birds that he must say good-by and waves to them as he slowly becomes smaller and smaller. The mommy and daddy birds tell the little ones not to cry because he will be coming back again some day. Then as Frosty disappears everyone blew to him big, big, kisses and the little birds stood in a circle on his hat and sang a sweet good-by song. The birds sang such a beautiful song that the squirrels and wild rabbits stopped to listen. They knew that Frosty would keep his promise because the rainbow in the sky told them that Frosty would back come again some day.
