Today I went on the best merry go round ever. There was a Grandpop man dressed in a bright colored shirt and red suspenders. He said, "Welcome aboard the carousel." I picked the most beautiful horse. It was white with gold on its head. It had purple and red flowers on its body. I was lucky to get the one I wanted! I called him Lucky. I ran very fast when they opened the gate. I was so happy and excited. Then the Grandpop man hit a triangle three times. It was a big giant triangle not a small one. Then all at once the neatest music started playing. It wasn't sad music, it was the happiest music I ever heard. I pretended I was at the circus riding this beautiful horse around the ring. Everyone clapped and cheered. As the horse went up and down I felt so very happy and free. The medicine that I had to take each day did not make me sick today. Lucky made me forget for just a short time that there was a sickness in my body. I just kept going around and around until gradually the horse slowed down and came to a gentle stop. I knew that I had to get off and wave good-bye to Lucky. I blew him a big giant kiss but I knew that it wasn't good-bye forever because Merry Go Rounds stay in a circle forever and ever.
